More and More FWF Appearances

The FutureWork Forum are creating more and more platforms for Partners.
- In September (12-14), we have three partners at the annual AHRMIO conference (this year in Rome)
- In September we’re the “guest” faculty opening the new UBIS business school campus in Geneva (September 15)
- In November we are the “guest faculty” for the annual People In Aid conference in London (November 22)
- In December, we’ll be at an event in Newport Beach, CA.

The Flood of Information today

This thought made me think, possibly nightmare ideas. Computer scientist Jaron Lanier describes the effect of the flood of information like this, “It’s as if you kneel to plant the seed of a tree and it grows so fast that it swallows your whole town before you can even rise to your feet.” Happy dreams tonight !

Good report to read ” HELP WANTED – Projection of Jobs and Education Requirements Through 2018.” downloadable at www.cew.georgetown.edu/jobs2018 gives some great insights into what we will be doing in seven or so years time. FutureWork Forum partner with People In Aid

People In Aid, a not-for-profit global agency that improves organisational effectiveness within the humanitarian and development sector worldwide have teamed up with the FutureWork Forum to provide the “guest” faculty at their upcoming annual conference in London (November 22).

With a mission to bring their global membership up-to-date on future-of-work developments, People In Aid asked the FutureWork Forum to design a one-day conference that would include all the key elements around the worker and the workplace of the future. The conference will include sessions on: the employee of tomorrow; future trends in talent management; workplaces of the future and a session on making work fun. There will also be sessions on global labour trends and next steps in coaching and mentoring. www.peopleinaid.org
