Carolina has close to 2 decades of experience in driving talent management initiatives across Europe, Asia, US, Middle East and Africa. Prior to starting her entrepreneurial journey, Carolina was the Head of Human Resources Middle East, Global Talent Acquisition and Managing Director of Odebrecht (a Engineering & Construction conglomerate) Austria. Prior to the stint at Odebrecht, Carolina led the implementation of various HR Projects at AB-InBev (world’s largest brewer) in China and at their global headquarters in Belgium.
Passionate about learning and technology, she has also founded &ahead (also known as My Career and Child community) a network platform aimed to help career ambitious and passionate individuals (majority women) navigate their mid career relaunches after a career break. The team works closely with companies to access a hidden talent pool of experienced professionals; support them in designing their return to work program as well as engage employees who are interested to relaunch their careers.
Carolina’s experience spans across various aspects of HR Management: Global Talent Acquisition; Talent Management Systems (SAP and Oracle) implementation; Learning and Development; Employee Engagement; Compensation and Benefits; Performance Evaluation; Diversity and Inclusion; Intercultural Communications and post M&A culture integration (various integration projects in AB-Inbev) among others. This enables her to work with the executive management teams to determine strategic HR requirements as well as lead regional or local teams in implementing solutions.
Carolina holds a degree in Business Administration and speaks fluently English, Chinese Mandarin as well conversational German and Portuguese. Carolina has worked and lived for extended periods of time in China, Singapore, US, Portugal, UAE, Libya, Liberia, Mozambique, Brazil, Belgium, Austria, Germany and travelled to dozens of other countries on both work and leisure.
